Welcome to Casa di Gaia, a charming retreat located in the picturesque village of Montetenero, in the heart of the province of La Spezia. The name of our establishment is inspired by our beloved daughter Gaia, a symbol of grace and tranquility, and we are delighted to share this corner of paradise with you. The history of Montetenero dates back to the late 19th century, when this village was built and later used as a military base during World War II. Today, this historic location represents a living witness to the past and an ideal place to explore the surrounding wonders. Our renovation project started in 2019 and to date we have completed the renovation of half of the village, with ambitious plans to complete the entire intervention. Casa di Gaia offers new rooms, each with a private bathroom and some equipped with a kitchenette to ensure maximum comfort. Our guests can start the day with a breakfast prepared with typical local products and fresh ingredients provided daily. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and every comfort our guests could desire. At Casa di Gaia, you can immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of the area, experiencing modern comfort in a historic setting. Furthermore, starting next year, we will offer an exciting boat tour service to explore the wonderful Gulf of Poets, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It will be a unique opportunity to discover the beauty of Portovenere, Lerici, and the Cinque Terre from a completely different perspective. This structure is located in Montetenero, a charming Ligurian village surrounded by nature, just 1 kilometer from the lovely town of San Benedetto. Here you will have the chance to find everything you need, such as a mini-market, butcher shops, bars, and pizzerias. Furthermore, the structure is only 3 kilometers from Riccò del Golfo and about 20 kilometers from Monterosso.
Thanks to the Foce tunnel, you can reach La Spezia station in just 5 minutes, from where trains and ferries depart for the beautiful Cinque Terre. If you enjoy walking, you can rent assisted pedal bicycles and, thanks to the extensive network of trails, you will have the opportunity to directly visit the Cinque Terre starting from our structure.
